divh2Medical Technologist/h2pB.S. or B.A. preferred./ppASCP certification or equivalent is preferred./ppExperience with sample analysis in Clinical Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation and Urinalysis./ppKnowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) preferred./ppCorporate Responsibilities:/pulliAdherence to laboratory health and safety/liliAdherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)/liliAdherence to applicable company policies and guidelines/liliAdherence to federal and/or local regulations as applicable/li/ulpEssential Position Responsibilities:/pulliProficiency in the operation of laboratorys instruments for analysis of biological samples collected from laboratory animals for standard panels of clinical chemistry, hematology, coagulation and urinalysis./liliMaintenance and QC of laboratory instruments and equipment according to SOP./liliPerform manual methods such as blood smear review, manual reticulocyte count, and urine microscopic examination./liliRecords observations and collects data via data capture systems, and/or hand generated forms in accordance with GLPs, SOPs, and protocol./liliIndependently reviews data, performs laboratory QC and identifies potential problems./liliCommunicates with the study directors and in-life technicians regarding sample quality./li/ulpAdditional Position Responsibilities:/pulliPerforms general laboratory support functions such as supply inventory, shipping procedures, administration of computer systems or data maintenance./li/ulpAdditional Requirements:/pulliAbility to multi-task and participate in multiple nonclinical research studies concurrently./liliAbility to produce high quality data while working under the pressure of strict deadlines./liliOvertime, weekend and holiday work may be required./liliWork requires passing pulmonary function test, annual physical and the use of other PPE (personal protective equipment)/li/ulpThe starting pay range estimated for this position is $26.44 per hour. Please note that hourly rates/salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, prior relevant experience, skills, education, certification, location as well as internal equity and market data./ppSalary will be commensurate with experience and responsibilities.
