Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: 2 years of OR RN experience License: Active Virginia license required Certifications: BLS required; ACLS and CNOR preferred Must-Have: Proficient in all specialties, particularly ortho, breast/plastics, urology, GYN, and general. Previous charge experience preferred. Experience with Epic preferred. Description: The Operating Room Registered Nurse will provide high-quality care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. The nurse will assist in various specialties including general surgery, gynecology, urology, orthopedics, and plastics. Daily responsibilities include preparing the operating room, ensuring sterile technique, and collaborating with the surgical team. The average daily census for the unit is 35 patients. The nurse will work with an interdisciplinary team, including IV teams and pharmacy. The position requires participation in late stay sign-up as needed. The flu vaccine is required during flu season. COVID-19 vaccination is also required. The Registered Nurse will adhere to all policies and procedures. Compliance with facility standards is mandatory, including maintaining a smoke/nicotine-free environment.
