Headquartered in Charlotte, N.C. with manufacturing and service facilities throughout North America, Wastequip is the leading North American manufacturer of waste handling equipment. Shift hours: 7:00am - 3:30pm Pay rate: $17.50

Wastequip has a great opportunity at our MT Sterling, KY facility for a Material Handler. The Material Handler will be responsible for handling all parts in need of cleanup, assembly and testing after the welding operations have been completed.

Responsibilities

• Supplying production with materials and parts as required to meet production demands
• Transfer parts to holding and/or staging lanes using pump trucks, dollies or carts
• Perform safety inspections and simple routine maintenance to ensure tools remain safe and fully operational
• Maintain a safe work environment, wearing all required PPE for job(s) being worked on (Safety Glasses, Face Sheilds, Gloves, Safety Boots)
• Ensure the work area is maintained to proper 5S standards
• Any other jobs assigned by the area Supervisor or Manager

Qualifications

• Previous experience with metal grinding, some assembly and how to use basic tools such as Wrench's, Allen Keys, Impact Guns, Grinders, Belt Sanders.
• Ability to be forklift certified if needed
• Pays close attention to detail and care
• Ability to maintain all Product/material in order on racks, production floor and staging areas
• Ability to maintain accurate records and perform basic mathematical operations
• Work as a Team Player
• High School
