Registered Nurse

The Wound Care Center Clinical Nurse Manager/Clinical Coordinator directs the Registered Nurse (RN) to primarily provide patient care and manage intake and discharge processes for Wound Care Center patients. Essential Functions / Responsibilities Provide patient care to Wound Care Center patients and handle patient intake and discharge processes as assigned and in accordance with hospital and nursing standards. Assist in vein clinic as assigned after completing Healogics Vein Clinic training. Serve as Case Manager to a group of patients as assigned, performing initial nursing assessment, communicating findings with the physician, assessing wound stage and measurements, documenting care plans, evaluating patient status relative to desired outcomes, and identifying care situations that require intervention. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, provide patient or caregiver education, and act as a patient advocate in the coordination of care. Perform hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBO) related duties as assigned upon completion of Healogics hyperbaric training; may assume hyperbaric safety director duties after completing required training. Collaborate with healthcare providers, Wound Care Center providers, Program Director, and Medical Director regarding clinic and patient needs. Function as a Documentation Assistant (scribe) in accordance with Healogics policy. Perform other duties as required. Required Education, Experience and Credentials Degree in Nursing (ADN). Current RN license in the state of practice—maintained throughout employment. BSN preferred. Medical Surgical, Home Health or Wound Care Certification preferred. Wound care experience preferred. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Demonstrated competency in BLS (Basic Life Support). Strong organization, prioritization and time‑management skills. Basic knowledge of regulatory/accrediting requirements for healthcare organizations. Strong interpersonal, listening, oral and written communication skills, including presentation abilities and aptitude to translate complex technical terms into laylanguage. Customer service and follow‑up skills. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Teaching skills. Capacity to work in a fast‑paced environment and to manage multiple tasks concurrently. Teamwork and collaboration abilities. Ability to remain calm under all circumstances. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Working knowledge of computerized nursing systems. Physical Demands Stationary position for extended periods (4+ hours). Repetitive motions. Moving about; pushing/pulling. Reading, bending/stooping, reaching/grasping/touching with hands, detecting sounds by ear, writing, close/distance/peripheral vision. Travel distances (car, airplane, etc.). Color perception. Lifting/moving items up to 20 pounds. Viewing computer screen for extended periods (4+ hours). Lifting/moving items up to 75 pounds with equipment assistance.
