Project Manager – Multifamily Tenant Improvements

Want your work to have a visible impact on the places people call home? Our client is a mission-driven general contractor whose multifamily tenant improvement projects include affordable housing. Their work helps improve housing for residents and the communities around them, and they are seeking a Project Manager who wants to put their construction experience toward that purpose.

In this role, you will guide projects from planning through closeout and see the results of your work firsthand. You will manage the details that make a difference—from RFIs and submittals to schedules, subcontractors, and communication with the people involved in each project.

Project Manager Responsibilities:

• Own the RFI and submittal process, including preparation, logs, follow-up, approvals, and communication with the field.
• Build and maintain project schedules, budgets, cost reports, change orders, and other project controls.
• Coordinate subcontractors, superintendents, designers, vendors, and property teams to keep work moving.
• Review drawings and specifications, resolve issues proactively, and make timely decisions with limited day-to-day oversight.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and communicate progress, challenges, and next steps clearly.
• Manage procurement, site visits, quality follow-up, punch lists, turnover, and closeout documentation.
• Plan work around residents and onsite teams when projects take place in occupied properties.

Project Manager Qualifications:

• 2+ years' experience as a construction Project Manager with hands-on responsibility for RFIs and submittals.
• Experience with multifamily renovation, tenant improvements, affordable housing, occupied buildings, or commercial construction preferred.
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications and communicate effectively with field and design teams.
• Strong organization and follow-through across multiple documents, deadlines, and project stakeholders.
• Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction software preferred.
• A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is helpful; relevant project or field experience is also valued.

Compensation : $80,000 - $85,000 per year
