Admissions Counselor (Entry Level)

Trinity School of Medicine, an international medical school with its administrative office in Roswell, Georgia, is seeking a highly organized, relationship-focused Admissions Coordinator/Counselor to guide prospective students from their initial inquiry through enrollment. The ideal candidate is an exceptional communicator who builds trust quickly, listens carefully, and follows through consistently. This position requires someone who can create meaningful relationships with prospective students while maintaining the discipline needed to manage leads, applications, deadlines, and follow-up activities. Successful candidates will be responsive, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of the student experience. They will understand that timely, personalized communication can make a meaningful difference in a student’s decision to pursue medical school and ultimately enroll at Trinity. Essential Skills and Qualifications Exceptional verbal, written, phone, and video communication skills. Demonstrated ability to build trust and maintain strong relationships with prospective students and applicants. Highly disciplined approach to follow-up, task management, and deadline completion. Strong listening skills and the ability to identify each student’s questions, concerns, motivations, and individual needs. Ability to communicate admissions and enrollment information clearly, accurately, and confidently. Comfortable initiating conversations, maintaining regular contact, and asking for appropriate next steps. Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to manage leads and applicants without sacrificing responsiveness or personalization. Proficiency with CRM platforms, student information systems, and other computer-based programs; Salesforce experience is strongly preferred. Ability to accurately document communications, update applicant records, and manage follow-up tasks within a CRM. Professional judgment, discretion, empathy, and a genuine commitment to supporting students. Ability to work collaboratively across Admissions, Finance, Academics, Student Services, and other departments. Primary Responsibilities Serve as a primary point of contact for prospective students and applicants throughout the admissions and enrollment process. Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries by phone, email, text, and video. Develop trusted relationships with prospective students by providing personalized, timely, and accurate guidance. Learn each student’s goals, motivations, concerns, and decision-making factors to provide relevant support. Clearly explain Trinity’s programs, admissions requirements, student experience, and enrollment process. Maintain consistent contact with assigned leads and applicants according to established communication and follow-up expectations. Proactively reengage students who have become unresponsive or have not completed required next steps. Monitor applicant progress and proactively identify missing documents, incomplete requirements, questions, or potential enrollment barriers.Prepare and submit required applicant documentation for Admissions Committee review. Coordinate with internal departments to resolve applicant questions and prevent unnecessary delays. Document all communications clearly to allow other team members to understand the applicant’s status, needs, and next steps. Meet established expectations for responsiveness, activity documentation, follow-up completion, and applicant progression. Lead post-acceptance planning and preparation, including guidance related to financial planning, required documents, housing, travel, relocation, and other enrollment activities. Provide a smooth and supportive transition from applicant to enrolled student. Identify students who may be at risk of not enrolling and develop an appropriate communication and support plan. Support admissions events, webinars, presentations, and other student recruitment activities as needed. Other Qualifications Recruiting experience is preferred A four-year undergraduate degree or comparable relevant professional experience. Successful performance in a sales environment is preferred.
