Please note: a resume is required for this positionPay Rate: $15.00 an hour plus commission and tipsSUMMARY: Assist clients in transforming physical appearance, listen to client desire and provide them the most suitable services. Provide services, such as manicures, pedicures, gel and fiber nail services, daily and special occasion make-up, shampooing, scalp treatment, blowouts, and styling hair. Responsible for a high level of guest service as described in your departments guest service standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAnalyze guests' hair and features and make appropriate recommendations for beauty treatments, hair styles promoting appropriate hair care products based on needShampoo, rinse, condition and dry hair and scalpStraighten, curl, or style hair as requestedKeep work area clean and sanitize tools and equipmentUpdate / maintain guest records with beauty services provided and preferencesProvide Makeup consultations and applications including special occasion make-upPerform a variety Manicure and Pedicure services offered on the Spa MenuRemove previously applied polish, shape and smooth nails and apply polishAssess guests' hands and feet and exfoliate, massage, apply treatmentsRecommend and promote nail care products based on guests' needsComplete monthly inventory to keep stock levels up to ParRecommend and schedule guests future appointmentsProvide backup support to Spa ReceptionistProcess cash, credit, debit card, and comp transactions for services and retail productsHandle incoming calls, schedule appointments and answer questions regarding the propertyKNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIESKnowledge and CertificationRequired:Current Minnesota cosmetology licensure or capability for Minnesota reciprocityDemonstrated knowledge of current styles/trends, perform chemical services and design techniquesSkillsRequired:Accurate and detail-orientedHighly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing prioritiesExcellent verbal and interpersonal communication skillsAbilitiesRequired:Ability to work fast and efficientlyAbility to follow established dress code policies and practice good personal hygieneAbility to learn appropriate product and equipment usageAbility to interact with guests, coworkers and management in a professional and courteous mannerAbility to enthusiastically and professionally sell spa products and servicesAbility to speak in a clear, concise and pleasant voiceREQUIRED TRAININGTreasure Island guest service trainingMust meet all requirements to maintain current Cosmetologist licenseAny position-related training as determined by department managerPHYSICAL DEMANDS Must be able to walk or stand for long periods throughout the dayMust have a good sense of balance, and be able to bend and kneel and stoopMust be able to reach and twist routinelyMust be able to push, pull and grasp objects routinelyMust have the ability to independently lift up to 25+ pounds occasionallyMust have manual dexterity necessary to manipulate styling toolsMust be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motionsMust have good eye hand coordinationWORKING ENVIRONMENTWork is performed in the Spa, which includes chemicals, aroma therapy scents and nail products; May require going on the gaming floor, which has flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smokeMust be able to work in cramped, tight quartersMust be willing to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidaysOccasionally overtime may be requiredOccasionally must deal with angry or hostile individualsHigh volume direct public contact
