We’re hiring an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist for a hospital in Miami, FL where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders. Candidates will work in a tertiary care, teaching environment that includes adult and pediatric trauma services and a Level 3 NICU.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
• Current state respiratory therapist license in good standing.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• Minimum 2 years of current acute care hospital RRT experience. Current NICU/PICU experience required for this unit.
• Certifications: BLS, NRP, PALS.
• Experience with advanced neonatal/pediatric respiratory technologies and therapies (high frequency ventilators such as 3100A, Bunnell, conventional ventilators like Servo, nitric oxide, heliox, high flow devices, continuous nebulizers).
• Experience with Meditech documentation preferred.
• Ability to float to regular adult floors to provide therapies such as nebulizer therapy, BIPAP, and chest physiotherapy when required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous Meditech experience.
• Experience in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary tertiary care setting.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 0700-1900.
• Uniform: Light gray (silver) required.
• May provide coverage on regular adult floors as needed (floating required).

As a health professional with our team, you will have the opportunity to work in a large tertiary care and teaching hospital with Level 1 adult and pediatric trauma services, a Level 3 NICU, and a Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center. Respiratory therapists on this unit provide treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with respiratory diseases using advanced technologies and medication delivery methods.
