Responsible for development standards and roadmaps, assessment of new technologies for investment, and articulating the transition from current to future state in consideration of the emerging needs of the business, security policies and requirements, and striking an optimal balance between standardization, customization, innovation, costs and risk management. You will collaborate with development teams to ensure well-engineered, tested and deployed application systems components adhering to defined development principles, patterns and standards, as well as perform any other related duties as required or assigned.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesLead solution architecture planning and execution for complex, cross-domain initiatives.Design and govern end-to-end solution architectures, including application, integration, data, and infrastructure components.Define and promote modern architecture patterns, including:Event-driven and real-time architecturesService-oriented and API-first designsCloud-native and platform-based solutionsPartner with delivery teams to ensure solutions are well-architected, secure, scalable, performant, and supportable.Evaluate emerging technologies and platforms, recommending investments aligned to business outcomes.Develop and maintain architecture standards, patterns, and reference designs.Collaborate with business partners to determine buy vs. build decisions and translate business needs into technical solutions.Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development and engineering teams.Participate in project intake, planning, and design reviews to ensure architectural alignment.Work closely with Enterprise Architecture to ensure consistency with enterprise standards and long-term roadmaps.Focus AreasThis role is expected to have hands-on experience or strong architectural understanding in the following areas:Big Data & Analytics PlatformsExperience designing solutions using modern data platforms such as Databricks, cloud data lakes, and lakehouse architecturesData ingestion, transformation, and analytics at scale (batch and streaming)Analytics, reporting, and data product enablementReal-Time & Event-Driven SolutionsArchitecting real-time data pipelines and streaming solutions (e.g., Kafka, Event Hubs, Kinesis, pub/sub patterns)Designing event-driven integrations between systemsSupporting low-latency operational and customer-facing use casesIntegration & APIsRESTful APIs, messaging, and asynchronous integration patternsSOA and microservices-based architecturesEducation and ExperienceBachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.5+ years of experience as a Solutions Architect or member of an architecture team providing technical leadership.Strong experience with modern software development life cyclAuto req ID217107BRStore Number/Dept Number299900060000 - IT - Retail Systems Store Address200 E Peach St Store Zip71730Job Category: Information Systems (For Retail Field Jobs Only) Store City: El Dorado(For Retail Field Jobs Only) Store State: Arkansas
