Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse / Pediatric Intensive Care Unit – Maryland

Start Date: November 23, 2026

Location: Baltimore, Maryland

Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts with 1:2 patient ratio; 5 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule (either Saturday or Sunday); floating required to NICU and Pediatrics based on facility needs

Highlights:

• 6-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit serving infant, pediatric, and adolescent populations
• Manage complex cases including respiratory distress/failure, DKA, seizures, pain management, and sepsis
• Comprehensive patient care including moderate sedation, continuous drips, arterial lines, and central lines
• Cerner charting system experience required
• Approximately 40 hours of orientation including virtual, clinical, and on-unit training
• First-time travelers accepted; local candidates welcomed

Requirements:

• Valid Maryland or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required
• Current BCLS/BLS, PALS, and Basic EKG certifications required
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• Strong dysrhythmia interpretation and management skills
• Central line and PICC line management experience
• Experience with anti-seizure medications, continuous sedation, IV vasopressors, and pediatric dosage calculations
• ICP monitoring experience required
• Proficiency in managing ventilated pediatric patients and acute airways
• BiPAP/CPAP, ABG interpretation, and chest tube management experience
• Competency with ventilators, high-flow nasal cannula, and BiPAP/CPAP equipment
• Cerner charting system experience required
