Under direction of the General Counsel, provides professional legal counsel to the Sacramento County Office of Education and administers legal services for the Sacramento County Office of Education.

This office is establishing an open eligibility list for the Associate General Counsel position. Candidates on the eligibility list may be considered for any full-time, part-time, or limited-term positions while this list is active. Location/Work Schedule • Work Location: SCOE main campus, Mather, CA • Typical Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. In-person work is the industry standard for educational entities such as SCOE. Hybrid telecommuting opportunities may be available depending on job duties and department needs.

Examination/Selection Processes Qualified candidates will be invited to participate in examinations that may be administered remotely. Remotely administered exams will require a computer, webcam, and microphone. If you are unable to participate remotely, contact the designated representative before the deadline to make alternate arrangements. • Oral Exam: Anticipated to be scheduled the week of June 8, 2026 • Final Interview: Held in person, date to be determined Examination procedures are subject to change as deemed necessary by the Chief Administrator, Human Resources.
