Schedule: 24 hour physician coverage with 12 hour shifts. 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
Position Overview
Emergency Medicine physician coverage in a hospital emergency department
Average volume: about 34 patients per provider per day
Procedures are required and align with standard Emergency Medicine scope
Required Qualifications
MD or DO
Active Texas license
DEA with Texas address
Texas controlled substance registration
Board certification accepted: ABEM, ABFM, ABIM, or osteopathic equivalents
Residency trained in the specialty
ACLS, ATLS, PALS
Case logs for the past 2 years
CME activity within the past 2 years
Credentialing and Onboarding
Estimated privileging timeframe: 90 to 120 days
Additional compliance items include TB and flu documentation
