Network Deployment Technician, DCC Communities

Job Summary Job ID: 10466990 | Amazon Data Services, Inc. AWS is looking for a Network Deploy Technician to join our growing team within infrastructure operations. You will work with minimum supervision in a dynamic environment to drive the stability and sustainability of our next-generation networks and assist in the development of innovative ways to automate and scale our network. Key Responsibilities Scaling support of several data center locations and day-to-day assistance with capacity management. Managing work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects. Collaborating with various stakeholders to remove project obstacles. Troubleshooting networking, routing and interconnectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords. Specifying power and cooling requirements and ensuring hardware racking/stacking completed for new equipment. Participating in the migration, basic configuration and rollout of new or upgraded hardware. Travel Requirements Traveling within and outside of the regional work area is required. You will be responsible for having a reliable personal vehicle and a valid driver’s license; company transportation will not be provided. Day in the Life Provide the first-level networking devices to serve customer racks. Track rack intake and delivery; work with onsite teams to secure rack space, power, and cooling; partner with network engineers to ensure configurations are ready; troubleshoot links and devices within a Service‑Level Agreement. Participate in console builds and room builds to add space and capacity for customer racks. Work with ID‑Scaling peers to build higher‑level networking devices. Basic Qualifications High school or equivalent diploma. Preferred Qualifications Data center experience. Industry standard certifications such as CompTIA, CCENT, or Network+. Experience with common tools related to network troubleshooting, including VFLs, OTDR, and power meters. Knowledge of major command‑line protocols (Cisco IOS, JunOS, GNU/Linux) and common networking protocols (BGP, OSPF). Benefits and Compensation The base salary range for this position is 30.00 – 54.00 USD hourly. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
