Clinical SpecialistWe are seeking a highly organized, energetic, and experienced Clinical Specialist to support both clinical and administrative operations within the medical team. This role plays a critical part in supporting the astronaut medical journey, astronaut flight readiness, and pilot medical currency initiatives. This individual will partner cross-functionally to optimize medical operations, support clinical workflows, coordinate administrative activities, and contribute to achieving company objectives through collaboration, accountability, and exceptional customer service.ResponsibilitiesClinical SupportServe as a primary point of contact for affiliate physicians, vendors, and customersMaintain and update confidential medical recordsCoordinate the collection and transfer of external medical recordsManage clinic and pharmacy inventory and suppliesCoordinate state-mandated pharmacy inspections and maintain related documentationPrepare exam rooms and clean/sterilize medical equipmentAssist physicians during exams, including basic measurements, vitals, and lab supportSupport medication documentation and clinical administrative processesMaintain strict confidentiality regarding medical and organizational mattersAdministrative SupportManage departmental calendars, records, and patient schedulingSupport medical staff workflow coordination and scheduling activitiesProcess purchase orders, requisitions, and vendor invoicesProvide day-to-day administrative support for the medical departmentMaintain departmental policies, procedures, and document control recordsCoordinate meetings, including agenda preparation, note taking, action tracking, and follow-up summariesManage senior leader scheduling priorities and calendar coordinationSupport additional operational, clinical, and department projects as assignedCollaborate across teams to support organizational priorities and project executionRequired Skills and ExperienceAssociate degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experienceThree plus years of relevant professional experienceMinimum 2 years of experience in a clinical setting (e.g., nursing, physical therapy, surgical technology, medical scribing, etc.)Experience working with Electronic Medical Record (EMR/EHR) systemsFamiliarity with healthcare privacy regulations, including HIPAA and GDPRFamiliar with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)Professional, empathetic, and customer-focused approachAbility to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervisionStrong problem-solving and process improvement mindsetHigh attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentialityEffective collaboration skills across cross-functional teams and varying organizational levelsStrong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skillsDemonstrated adaptability and willingness to adjust priorities and approaches as neededAbility to communicate in a timely, respectful, and collaborative mannerFlexible schedule availability, including non-standard hours and weekendsWillingness to travel between work sites as required (mileage reimbursed)Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, and OneNoteDemonstrate willingness to adjust thinking and behavior.Ability to communicate in a manner that is timely, respectful, and open to other ideasPreferred Skills and ExperiencePharmacy Technician Certification (NM)Familiarity with FAA medical standardsExperience supporting operations within an aerospace environmentPhysical and/or Additional RequirementsAbility to stoop, bend, crawl, and maneuver in confined spacesAbility to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 2 hours uninterrupted)Ability to lift and carry items up to 40 lbs. without assistanceWillingness to pursue additional training and certifications as needed
