RN - Observation Unit - Samaritan HospitalIf you are an RN and looking for a position in the Observation/Clinical Decision Unit to meet your schedule, this could be your opportunity. 10-12 bed observation unit with expected LOS of 24 hours or less. Admissions from the ED. Will also function as a discharge lounge if OBS admissions are low. In peak census times, may function as a rapid admission unit from the ED to decompress the ED pending bed availability on M/S units. Once planned, the RN is responsible for seeing that the plan of care is carried out through performance and or leadership of supervised personnel and that the plan of care is evaluatedThe RN is directly accountable to the Nurse Manager for the quality of patient care deliveredThe RN modifies and delivers care that is specific to the age, growth and development of patients according to the unit scope of servicesWhen serving in the charge role, the RN is responsible for clinical and leadership functions, for assessing the needs of each patient and planning the nursing care needed to meet those needsWhat you will need:A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New YorkASN required, BSN preferred from an accredited nursing programRegistered Nurses must possess the ability to assess, plan, direct, intervene and evaluate patient careThe RN must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and writtenMinimum 1 year of RN Acute experiencePay Range: $40.00-$53.10Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
