Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) Medical Oncology (Outpatient / Hybrid)

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures high-quality, patient-centered care and seamless care coordination for medical oncology patients. Operating in a hybrid capacity within an outpatient clinic setting, the CNC collaborates closely with subject matter experts to guide and support patients through complex treatment journeys. Note: This position is strictly focused on care coordination in an outpatient clinic setting and does not involve administering chemotherapy or infusion work. (No weekends, no holidays, no call) Schedule: Monday Friday, 8-5pm (Hybrid) Location: WashU Medical Campus with flexibility across Siteman locations (100% Outpatient) Responsibility Highlights:

• Serves as a key resource person for clinic staff, modeling a commitment to the organization's vision, mission, and values.
• Coordinates patient care efficiently while remaining vigilant and responsive to changes in care, treatment, or symptoms.
• Enhances the overall patient experience and drives clinical outcomes that contribute directly to departmental performance.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provides direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patients; completes health history and physical examination on patients; conveys findings to physician.
• Coordinates patient care, orders diagnostic tests, conveys findings to physician, attends inpatient rounds, coordinates patient appointments and assists with referrals to outside sources.
• Assists physician and provides support with examinations, procedures and other processes related to direct patient care.
• Performs a variety of nursing administrative duties, including compliance with environmental safety regulations, infection control standards and quality assurance.
• Acts as liaison and team leader by facilitating communication and coordination of care between patients, families and health team members; explains routines and procedures to patients and coordinates patient care information to appropriate sources.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with two years of nursing experience.
• Current RN licensure in the state of Missouri and/or Illinois, depending on location, in accordance with the Compact Act.
• Basic Life Support Certification or obtains certification within one month of employment. Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements.

Salary Range: $64,500.00 - $109,900.00 / Annually The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
