Responsibilities Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, wound care, and monitoring vital signs Assist with the development and implementation of patient care plans Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care Document patient information, medical history, and treatment plans accurately and thoroughly Perform basic medical procedures such as suture removal and dressing changes Assist with case management and coordination of care for patients with complex medical needs Conduct physical examinations and assessments to determine patient health status Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding healthcare management Skills Proficient in using electronic health record systems, such as Athenahealth, to document patient information accurately Experience working in a hospital or similar healthcare setting, providing care to patients of various ages and medical conditions Knowledge of medical documentation standards and ability to maintain accurate and detailed records Familiarity with case management principles and ability to coordinate care for patients with multiple healthcare providers Understanding of occupational health practices and ability to assess and address work-related injuries or illnesses Competency in performing physical examinations, including assessing vital signs, conducting screenings, and documenting findings Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers Familiarity with medical coding systems and ability to assign appropriate codes for billing purposes Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed. #J-18808-Ljbffr
