Phlebotomist - FLOAT

Phlebotomist Float Location: 400 Patroon Creek, Albany, NY Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, scheduled hours vary between 7:30am-5:30pm and rotating Saturdays 7:00am - 12:00pm Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other diagnostic studies Perform data entry of patient information accurately and in a timely manner Process billing information and collect payments when required Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis Maintain patient and specimen information logs Provide superior customer service to all patients Complete administrative and clerical duties as necessary Travel to additional sites when needed Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED or equivalent Phlebotomy certification or completion of a recognized training program or at least 3 months of experience as a phlebotomist Preferred Qualifications At least 1 year of phlebotomy experience Additional Job Standards Phlebotomy certification or training program must be from an accredited agency if work experience is substituted Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently or in a team environment Comfortable working under minimal supervision Flexibility to work overtime as neededAbility to pass a standardized color blindness test Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record with reliable transportation Must be at least 21 years old Pay Range $17.75 - $20.00 per hour Incentives Float incentive: Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement PST Incentive Plan: Eligible phlebotomists may receive a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics Benefits Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees scheduled to work less than 20 hours, casual, intern, and temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
