POSITION: CMM Programmer/Operator

Job Summary:

A CMM Calypso Programmer and Operator develops, runs, and troubleshoots Coordinate Measuring Machine programs using ZEISS Calypso software to inspect tight-tolerance aerospace parts.

What You Will Do

• Write and update inspection programs from 3D CAD models and blueprints using ZEISS Calypso software
• Create, debug, and optimize measurement routines for complex parts
• Set up fixtures, calibrate probes, and run parts on the CMM.
• Perform first-article, in-process, and final part checks.
• Analyze data, record results, and flag out-of-tolerance non-conformances.
• Work with machinists and engineers to fix quality issues.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and generate formal quality reports
• Interpret complex Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5 standards, verifying compliance with aerospace rules like AS9100.
• Debug measurement errors, adjust fixturing, and correlate programs to ensure measurement repeatability.

What You Will Bring:

• High school diploma or technical/associate degree in a relevant manufacturing or quality field.
• 2 to 5+ years of hands-on CMM experience in precision aerospace, defense, or high-tolerance manufacturing.
• Proficiency in ZEISS Calypso metrology software.
• Strong understanding of GD&T interpretation and blueprint reading.
• Ability to explain inspection data clearly to production, machining, and management teams.

Pay Range: $31/hour-$34/hour


Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan.

Work Requirements:

This position will be performed onsite in Fairfield, California

• You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.
• Shop floor environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Travel Requirements: Due to the nature of the work, more than 0% of travel will be required.
