Positioned at the intersection of business development, intellectual property, licensing, regulatory strategy, and commercialization, this role plays a critical part in advancing innovative solutions from concept to market. The successful candidate will evaluate, structure, negotiate, and execute opportunities spanning emerging technologies, lower-emission fuels, strategic partnerships, venture investments, and customer-focused commercial offerings. What role you will play in our team The Business Development Advisor is a Senior Expert-Level role with a unique opportunity to help shape the future of technology commercialization. This role is based in Spring, Texas . What you will do
- Lead evaluation and maturation of strategic growth opportunities from concept through commercialization.
- Structure and negotiate licensing, technology, collaboration, supply, offtake, and commercial agreements.
- Assess regulatory, market, competitive, intellectual property, and execution considerations that influence investment decisions.
- Develop commercial strategies, business cases, economic models, and value creation plans.
- Work with technology, commercial, project, legal, finance, and business teams to align stakeholders and advance opportunities.
- Support strategic transactions including partnerships, joint ventures, acquisitions, divestitures, and venture investments.
- Provide thought leadership and contribute to process improvements, tools, and best practices.
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced business, legal, engineering, or technical education is valued.
- Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience in licensing, intellectual property, commercialization, business development, strategy, energy, chemicals, manufacturing, or related industries.
- Demonstrated experience negotiating and managing complex commercial arrangements.
- Strong financial, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to influence decisions across organizations and lead through collaboration.
- Energy industry experience, including research and market analysis related to commercial and energy transition activities.
- Ability to effectively manage interpersonal relationships across multiple functions and in a diverse work group.
- Exhibits deep curiosity, demonstrating strategic thinking to drive long term growth.
- Pension Plan: Enrollment is automatic and at no cost to you. The basic benefit is a monthly annuity to be paid to you in retirement for the rest of your life.
- Savings Plan: You can contribute between 6% and 20% of your pay and are encouraged to enroll right away. If you contribute at least 6% to your savings plan, the Company will contribute a 7% match.
