Therapy - PT

Physical Therapist

This position involves working as a Physical Therapist in an acute care hospital setting. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 08:00 to 16:30. Call is required only for CVA patients on Sundays. May be floated to outpatient area as needed. Weekend coverage is required every fourth weekend. The PT will provide care for a mix of patient populations, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Daily patient census ranges from 75 to 100. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Experience with a variety of patient diagnoses, including cardiovascular, trauma, orthopedic, neuro, and cardiopulmonary is essential. Critical care early mobility procedures will be part of the responsibilities. Strong skills in body mechanics, patient family education, and home exercise programs are necessary.
