Student Care Specialist

The University of Washington Housing & Food Services (HFS) in Seattle, Washington has an outstanding opportunity for a Specialist for Student Care to join the team in July 2026. The Specialist for Student Care serves in a non-clinical case manager role to support resident wellbeing by responding to student crisis situations and coordinating the appropriate interventions, resources, and follow up. Under the supervision of the Associate Director of Student Care and Conduct, this position provides case management, risk assessment, crisis intervention, resource coordination, and support planning for residents experiencing mental health concerns and/or other significant wellness related issues. Pay Range: $63,648.00 annually. Live on-campus in a partially furnished 2-bedroom apartment within a residence hall or apartment community. Hybrid: remote telework up to 2 days a week.

QUALIFICATIONS

Master's degree in social work, counseling, Student Affairs, or closely related field Two years of experience working in crisis management, social work, counseling, student wellness, or a related field; experience can include a practicum placement

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience working in college housing, residential life, university counseling, or a related field Experience working with population congruent with college aged students.
