Step into a vital role supporting students’ academic and personal growth as a Special Education Teacher on a contract basis, starting as soon as possible through May 21, 2027. This rewarding opportunity offers full-time hours—37.5 each week—and the chance to make a lasting difference in the lives of K-12 students within self-contained classroom environments. You’ll work closely with a manageable caseload of up to 35 students, ensuring each individual receives personalized instruction and care.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid teaching certification with Special Education endorsement (or eligibility to obtain)
• Experience working with K-12 students with a range of exceptionalities
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to foster an inclusive classroom atmosphere
• Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
• Commitment to collaboration with families, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Designing and delivering engaging lesson plans tailored to each student’s needs
• Developing, implementing, and monitoring Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Creating a supportive environment where every student is encouraged to reach their fullest potential
• Collecting data to document student progress and inform instructional planning
• Collaborating with colleagues and support staff to promote student success
• Participating in meetings, professional development, and continuous learning opportunities
