Forklift OperatorOperate a forklift in a safe and responsible mannerRead and understand all operational and safety rules and guidelines provided during forklift license training.Operate both fork and clamp attachmentsTransport finished goods and raw materials as directedLoad and unload semi-trailers and complete the necessary paperwork and communications as directedUnderstand and use all scanning equipment required to perform jobMaintain and update status of inventory information through scans, written or logged as necessaryLift and carry containers as neededLift and carry packaging such as pallets, shrink-wrap etc. as needed.Communicate in a professional manner with supervisor, coordinators & co-workers as necessary.Assist other departments as neededPerform other duties as directed.Evaluates and takes appropriate action to maintain a safe work environment with established standards and guidelines.Inspect work areas and look for unsafe acts/conditions.Effectively use verbal and written communications.Maintain a clean and safe working environment.Perform sweeping cleaning, sorting duties as necessary.Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and procedures.Education:Required: High School Diploma or GED equivalentSpecial Requirements (if applicable):Obtain or be able to obtain a forklift driver's licensePossess proficient mathematic and grammar skillsAble to lift and load containers of boxes as required up to 50lbsGood verbal and organizational skillsThis position requires the cognitive and mental ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.Limitations and Disclaimer (Non-Canada): The above job description is meant to describe the general nature and level of work being performed; it is not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required for the position.
