Embedded Firmware Engineer

Salary: $103,000 - 143,000 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering
• At least 4 years of embedded firmware development experience
• Strong proficiency in C and embedded systems
• Experience with microcontrollers, CAN, UART, and industry communication protocols
• Simulink, Model-Based Software Development (MBSD), FreeRTOS, and/or embedded cybersecurity experience, such as HSMs and certificate chains of trust, is highly preferred

• Independently develop robust embedded firmware and lead project development from concept through end-of-life
• Design and implement production and R&D software, including high-performance embedded C for microcontroller-based systems
• Use Simulink to design, simulate, and test embedded applications
• Establish and uphold software development standards and best practices
• Support production teams with firmware issues and electronic component decisions
• Interpret schematics and assess hardware-software interactions
• Implement and optimize CAN communication protocols to meet product requirements
• Promote automated MBSD workflows
• Develop end-of-line testing methods and manufacturing support software
• Build PC applications and automation scripts using C++ or Python
