IT Service Desk Technician II

At Materion, we value inclusion, respect, and growth. We are hiring a Level 2 IT Service Desk Technician to deliver IT and OT support in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. The role is 100% onsite at our local facility. Key Responsibilities Provide in‑person and remote support for IT and OT systems, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and upgrades of hardware and software platforms. Deliver hands‑on and remote troubleshooting, installation, configuration, imaging, and peripheral setup for desktops, laptops, servers, and other equipment. Resolve service desk tickets with timely communication, targeting a minimum of five tickets per day while maintaining accurate ticketing records. Maintain detailed documentation in the ticketing system, including status updates, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions. Support OT systems such as SCADA, PLCs, DCS, and HMIs; collaborate with IT Level3 and Engineering to integrate OT and IT networks and ensure operational continuity. Assist the infrastructure team with deployment, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network equipment—switches, access points, servers, printers, and cabling. Contribute to cybersecurity efforts by adhering to OT/IT policies, assisting with compliance, and supporting incident response for OT‑related failures. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered. Minimum five (5) years of experience in IT operations and/or infrastructure management. Familiarity with SCADA software (e.g., Wonderware, IBA, GE iFIX) and Manufacturing Execution Systems (e.g., AVEVA). Understanding of Internet of Things (IoT) from connectivity and data‑management perspectives. Demonstrated experience with Windows servers, Azure cloud services, basic networking concepts, and virtualization technologies (Azure HCI, Hyper‑V). Experience with backup technologies and disaster recovery solutions. Familiarity with IT operational technology and IoT devices, and a strong grasp of security protocols and compliance. Pay Range: $27.93 – $36.64 per hour.
