Manufacturing Engineering II position supporting POROS chromatography resin production at Thermo Fisher Scientific's Chelmsford facility. The role involves optimizing manufacturing processes, ensuring quality standards, and collaborating cross-functionally to drive continuous improvement in a regulated pharmaceutical environment.

Responsibilities

Support continuous improvement initiatives and optimize production processes using data-driven approaches
Collaborate with operations, quality, maintenance, and R&D teams to implement sustainable manufacturing solutions
Conduct on-floor process troubleshooting and troubleshoot batch chemistry and large-scale equipment issues
Lead cross-functional projects to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain quality standards
Mentor and train manufacturing personnel on processes and procedures

Requirements

Advanced degree with no prior experience, or Bachelor's degree plus 2 years manufacturing engineering experience in regulated industries
Strong knowledge of GMP, ISO standards, and regulatory requirements
Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
Proficiency in statistical analysis, root cause investigation, and problem-solving techniques
Experience with engineering documentation, specifications, and change control processes
Ability to work in cleanroom environments and comply with PPE/gowning procedures
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and manufacturing software systems

Compensation: $72,600–$108,900 base
