Location: Reno, NV
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-4:30 PM
Compensation: $80,000-$100,000 base + 10% annual bonus
Potential Base: Up to $110,000 for candidates with strong Quality + Safety experience

About the Opportunity

Aegis Worldwide is partnered exclusively with a leading manufacturer of foodservice and specialty packaging products to identify a Quality Manager for their Reno, NV manufacturing facility.

This is a quality-focused leadership position with additional responsibility for food safety and environmental compliance. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on quality leader who enjoys spending time on the manufacturing floor, working directly with employees, leading training, managing audits, and driving continuous improvement.

The facility operates 24/7 and manufactures products including wraps, clamshell packaging, grocery bags, and other paper-based packaging solutions used by major foodservice and restaurant customers.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Quality Manager, Quality Supervisor, or similar manufacturing quality leader who is ready to take ownership of a plant-level quality function.

What You'll Do

• Lead and manage quality programs, policies, procedures, and initiatives throughout the manufacturing facility.
• Develop and conduct quality training programs for employees.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, SQF/GFSI, customer, and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee the development, implementation, review, and maintenance of the SQF system.
• Manage quality audits, sanitation audits, inspections, and corrective actions.
• Identify quality issues and implement effective root cause and corrective action processes.
• Maintain accurate inspection reports, quality records, programs, and documentation.
• Ensure customer quality complaints are properly tracked and corrective actions are implemented to prevent recurrence.
• Support customer requirements and work cross-functionally with operations and corporate teams.
• Lead quality committees and communicate quality expectations throughout the plant.
• Support food safety initiatives and employee food safety training.
• Assist with environmental compliance initiatives and programs.
• Lead continuous improvement activities and reporting related to quality.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and quality procedures.
• Spend significant time on the plant floor partnering with production and employees to improve quality and compliance.
• Manage and support two direct reports: a Safety Coordinator and Janitor.
• Partner with Operations, HR, Production, Shipping, and other departments to ensure quality standards are consistently maintained.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of quality supervision or management experience within a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Strong experience leading employees and quality functions in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience leading employee training programs.
• Experience managing quality audits and/or third-party audits.
• SQF and GMP experience required.
• Strong understanding of quality systems, corrective actions, and root cause analysis.
• Experience developing and implementing SOPs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable making decisions regarding quality issues and holding employees accountable to established standards.
• Hands-on leadership style with a willingness to be active on the manufacturing floor.
• Professional, confident, and direct communication style.

Candidates with approximately 3+ years of leadership experience at a direct competitor may also be considered if highly qualified.

Preferred Qualifications

• Food manufacturing or food packaging experience.
• Paper converting or packaging manufacturing experience.
• Pharmaceutical or other highly regulated manufacturing experience.
• TQM experience.
• ISO experience.
• Lean Manufacturing experience.
• Six Sigma experience.
• Environmental compliance experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field is preferred, but relevant experience can substitute.
