Job Title

Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts | Expected 36 hours/week | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide high-quality, compassionate patient care utilizing the nursing process and unit-specific standards of practice
• Develop, implement, and continually reassess individualized patient plans of care, including physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative needs
• Administer medications and complete nursing procedures and/or treatments while accurately documenting care, assessments, interventions, and patient responses
• Perform holistic, ongoing patient assessments and evaluate discharge planning for appropriateness and educational needs
• Communicate and collaborate with all members of the healthcare team, delegate appropriately, and oversee care provided by non-licensed assistive personnel
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff in accordance with hospital and unit policies; may float in rotation, including to an alternate campus

Required Qualifications

• Active Washington State RN licensure or Compact RN licensure
• Active BLS certification required
• Active ACLS certification required
• Active NIHSS certification required
• Active TNCC certification required
• Must consistently function within the guidelines of the Washington Nurse Practice Act and applicable unit-specific standards of practice

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in an emergency room or acute care setting
• Familiarity with evidence-based practice and current clinical workflows in an emergency department environment
• Experience teaching patients, families, and significant others relevant health information
