PharMerica is hiring full-time Data Entry Pharmacy Technicians in Fresno, CA!

Responsible for accurately entering and processing prescription orders in a closed-door pharmacy environment, ensuring patient information, medications, dosages, and directions are entered correctly. Collaborates with pharmacists and pharmacy staff to resolve prescription discrepancies, manage high-volume order processing, and support timely medication delivery to long-term care facilities.

 

** Training Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:30am - 6:00pm **

 

Rotating Schedule:

Monday - Friday 12:30pm - 9:00pm / 1:30pm - 10:00pm / 2:30pm - 11:00pm 

Every other weekend & Holiday Saturday & Sunday 9:00am - 5:30pm / 11:00am - 7:30pm

As a Pharmacy Order Entry Technician you will:    

• Enter and verify medication orders in a computerized system with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
• Conduct basic drug calculations, including dosage and conversion tasks.
• Investigate and resolve pharmacy claim denials; perform follow-up actions in POS systems.
• Stay current with Medicaid claim regulations and ensure compliance in processing.
• Track unpaid or delayed claims; generate reports for management.
• Provide excellent customer service in line with company values and policies.
• Assist with medication preparation and dispensing under Pharmacist supervision.
• Support additional pharmacy tasks and operations as directed by management.

Qualifications

  Qualifications 

Required:   

• High School diploma or equivalent.  
• Pharmacy Technician license as required by state
• Experience in a pharmacy setting and medical terminology.  
• Ability to operate a computer; recognize and identify medications.  
• Detail oriented; goal oriented, team player, and effective oral communication. 

Desired:   

• Long Term Care pharmacy experience.
