Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A 6-month contract opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist to support operations in a warehouse setting. This role involves critical responsibilities in medication management and inventory oversight.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Location: Des Plaines, IL

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee receipt, storage, and distribution of medications including refrigerated and specialty items.
• Manage inventory levels by ordering supplies, minimizing waste, and preventing product expiration.
• Ensure all medications are stored correctly and uphold compliance with USP standards and state/federal regulations.
• Verify medication orders before preparation or shipment to ensure accuracy.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians managing inventory, picking, packing, and shipping tasks.
• Coordinate with sterile compounding staff to maintain availability of medications and supplies for patient orders.
• Review controlled substance inventory and document per regulatory requirements.
• Conduct cycle counts, inventory reconciliation, and quality assurance audits.
• Collaborate with purchasing, nursing, and operations teams for timely medication delivery.
• Utilize pharmacy software and inventory management systems to track medications and supplies effectively.

Qualifications:

• Active and clear Illinois pharmacist license required.
• Some knowledge of IV medication is preferred.
• Prior experience in pharmacy operations, inventory control, or similar settings is beneficial.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance and pharmacy standards.
• Strong organizational and supervisory skills.
