As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Lobby in Westlake, OH , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or vendors by following site-specific policies, managing front desk activity, and supporting security-related procedures at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Monitor entry activity, verify credentials, maintain visitor logs, and direct guests to the appropriate contact or department in a courteous and professional manner.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site protocol.
• Answer phones, handle general inquiries, and support communication between the front desk, site personnel, and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
• Observe the lobby and reception area for suspicious or unauthorized activity and help to deter issues through attentive front desk presence and timely reporting.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card and/or license as required.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
