Key Qualifications:

• Valid New York State Special Education Certification
• Prior experience working with elementary-aged students in inclusive classrooms
• Strong commitment to individualized instruction and collaborative teaching
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues
• Organizational skills to effectively manage case files, adapt lesson plans, and track student progress

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
• Deliver engaging, evidence-based instruction in both individual and group settings
• Collaborate with general education teachers and related service staff to ensure an inclusive classroom experience
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and participate in IEP meetings
• Partner with families to support student growth and promote learning at home
• Foster a nurturing classroom atmosphere that encourages participation, growth, and respect for all learners
