HVAC & Boiler Maintenance Technician
JJS Group
HVAC & Boiler Maintenance Technician
Our client, a premier regional heating and mechanical services provider, is seeking a seasoned, highly autonomous HVAC & Boiler Maintenance Technician . We are looking for an experienced technician who is just as comfortable working on hydronic loops, pumps, and boiler controls as they are servicing standard forced-air HVAC equipment.
We don't want to micromanage you, and we don't want to train you on the basics. We need a veteran maintenance professional who can review a work order, head out to the site, accurately diagnose or service the system, and execute the work with complete confidence. If you are looking for a shop that respects your time, values your specialized trade knowledge, and rewards your expertise, we want to talk to you.
Why Work With Us? (The Perks)
Half-Day Fridays! Work Monday–Thursday (6:00 AM – 7:00 AM start) and finish by 12:00 PM every Friday so you can get a head start on your weekend.
No Drug Screen Required: Only a standard background check and driving record check are needed.
$500/Month Healthcare Allowance: Fully covers a local direct primary care clinic membership (zero copays for unlimited visits, X-rays, and in-house labs) with leftover funds available for supplemental policies like Aflac—plus you pocket whatever remains!
Immediate PTO: We waive the standard 1-year waiting period and offer immediate paid time off for experienced, senior-level hires.
Relocation Assistance: Want to relocate to a better environment? Let us know what you need to make the move, and we will work with you.
Retirement Plan: Simple IRA with up to a 3% company match.
The Role (What You Do Day-to-Day)
Boiler & Hydronic Maintenance: Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, tune-ups, and repairs on residential and light commercial boilers (hot water and steam), circulator pumps, zone valves, expansion tanks, and hydronic heating loops.
HVAC Preventative Service: Inspect, clean, troubleshoot, and repair furnaces, heat pumps, air handlers, AC units, and ventilation equipment.
System Tuning & Efficiency: Conduct combustion efficiency testing, burner adjustments, pressure checks, and control calibrations to ensure safe, peak system operation.
Autonomous Problem Solving: Autonomously manage your daily service calls, diagnose complex mechanical or electrical faults, and communicate findings clearly to equipment owners.
On-Call Rotation: Participate in a fair, rotating "on-call" schedule to support emergency heating and maintenance calls.
What We Are Looking For
Industry Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience specifically servicing, maintaining, and repairing both boiler/hydronic systems and standard HVAC equipment .
Specialized Knowledge: Deep working understanding of boiler piping, pressure vessels, gas/oil burner assemblies, hydronic controls, and cold-weather forced-air systems.
Certifications & Licensing: EPA Universal Certification preferred (Boiler operator/license or NATE certifications are a big plus).
Requirements: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
