Staff Systems Engineer

Abbott seeks a Staff Systems Engineer to lead the Electrophysiology Systems Engineering team in St. Paul, Minnesota. The role involves defining system behavior, architecture, and integration for next-generation cardiac ablation technologies, managing cross-functional teams from concept through product launch.
Responsibilities
- Develop technical and business strategy for major system-level programs at core team level
- Design and develop products for cardiac mapping and ablation using multidisciplinary engineering knowledge
- Provide systems engineering leadership from concept phase through product launch
- Lead cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges and drive research initiatives
- Plan, manage, and report on system integration activities and ensure regulatory compliance
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 11+ years developing complex electrical, software, and signal-processing systems
- 5+ years as a Systems Engineer
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex engineering problems and mentor engineers
- Strong verbal and written communication across organizational levels
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in fast-paced environments
Compensation: $99,300–$198,700 base
