Express Employment Professionals is hiring on behalf of a local bank for a Senior Financial Accountant. This role is responsible for supporting financial reporting, month-end close, regulatory reporting, and process improvements within the accounting department.

About the Role:
Express Employment Professionals is hiring on behalf of a local bank for a Senior Financial Accountant. This role is responsible for supporting financial reporting, month-end close, regulatory reporting, and process improvements within the accounting department.
Qualifications:
- CPA required (no exceptions)
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3-8 years of accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Experience with report writing and data analysis
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and highly organized
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Must pass a background check
- Manage month-end close and prepare financial reports
- Prepare quarterly regulatory reports
- Create and review journal entries and reconciliations
- Analyze financial data and research account discrepancies
- Assist with audits and regulatory examinations
- Support budgeting and internal reporting processes
- Improve and streamline accounting workflows and systems
- Oversee property tax reporting for multiple locations
- Mentor and support accounting staff as needed
- Participate in ongoing industry and regulatory training
- Prolonged sitting and computer use
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
