Logistics Specialist Offloads
Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Logistics Specialist Offloads in GAC Savannah. This position requires a high school diploma or GED, five years of experience in material handling, warehousing, inventory control, shipping and receiving, and three years of experience operating forklift and gas/electric powered carts. A valid driver's license is required. The position involves unloading and transporting high risk, high value components/assemblies utilizing the correct tooling per the documented process. The candidate must coordinate special handling and ensure schedule compliance in support of customer requirements. The shift is Tuesday through Friday from 5:45am to 4:15pm.
Essential functions include coordinating the arrival/delivery of material, ensuring proper rigging and equipment/tooling are in place, operating specialized material handling equipment, and ensuring FOD prevention for every unit unloaded and transported. Additional functions include ensuring housekeeping in the work area, complying with all company safety regulations, and supporting a continuous improvement culture.
