JOB SUMMARY:
Prepares and maintains school site computer lab(s) for instructional support or student assessment activities. Provides assistance to staff and students where it relates to the operation of computer systems and/or software systems adopted by the district. Assists in maintaining an accurate inventory of computer systems and peripherals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
High school diploma or general degree (GED). Educational coursework and computer lab experience are preferred. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Valid driver's license and driving record acceptable to the District for insurance purposes. Physical Demands:
The physical demands here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee must lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. JOB SUMMARY:
Prepares and maintains school site computer lab(s) for instructional support or student assessment activities. Provides assistance to staff and students where it relates to the operation of computer systems and/or software systems adopted by the district. Assists in maintaining an accurate inventory of computer systems and peripherals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Acts as liaison between site and Technology center by providing physical troubleshooting and issue clarification for site hardware including printers and other peripherals (is it plugged in - what are the details of the issue)
- Works closely with District Software Specialist to ensure lab computers are up to date and prepared for assessments
- Provides technical support during all student assessment windows
- Maintains an accurate site inventory
- Utilizes the work order system to maintain support records and escalate issues to the Technology Center in a timely manner.
- Supports students and staff with the use of standard software tools such as Office 365 email and features
- Schedules computer lab use and/or space as appropriate for instructional purposes
- Schedules computer lab use and/or space as appropriate for assessment purposes
- Provides orientation for students in the use of equipment and Internet safety
- Assists teachers with pulling student data from learning systems as needed.
- Assists staff with access to all systems by documenting web URLs, user name formats, and password reset procedures
- Computer learning software and applications in the curriculum
- Techniques, policies, and practices of child instruction
- Emergency and safety procedures
- Policies and objectives of assigned programs
- Inventory processes
- School site and assigned policies and procedures
- Correct English usage
- Operation of PC and related software
- Operate and maintain computer lab equipment, systems, and reporting
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with others
- Promote a positive and professional image through quality customer service
- Communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Understand and follow oral and written directions
- Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Write simple correspondence
- Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Maintains the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students as is expected of teachers
