Warehouse Associate

Our client, a leader in the transportation and logistics industry, is seeking a Warehouse Associate to join their team. As a Warehouse Associate, you will be part of the warehouse operations supporting shipping, receiving, and inventory management. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, teamwork, and attention to detail, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Warehouse Associate Location: Birmingham, AL Pay Range: $18.00 per hour Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, with rotating 1/2 day Saturdays What's the Job?- Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including unloading trucks and checking in merchandise
- Match purchase orders to sales orders and distribute orders to sales associates for processing
- Read customer orders, work orders, and shipping requisitions to determine items to be moved or shipped
- Ensure the warehouse is accessible and safe for employees and customers
- Complete work in a safe manner, adhering to all safety policies and procedures
- Ability to lift, push, or pull at least 75 pounds
- Basic written and verbal communication skills in English
- Proficiency in English for safety compliance and documentation
- Availability to work various shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends
- Experience in loading/unloading trailers and using handheld scanners is a plus
