Job Description

Manage all month end close tasks, including posting accruals and journal entries, while reviewing and correcting any misclassified transactions.

Analyze monthly financial performance against budget, identifying and explaining key variances across income and expenses.

Maintain accuracy of financial records through detailed reconciliations and ongoing general ledger review, along with monitoring daily cash activity.

Work closely with the Housing Finance Manager to coordinate timely transfers for mortgages, reserves, excess cash flow, and program related funds.

Prepare monthly financial reporting packages and support the annual budgeting process.

Lead ad hoc financial projects and assist with specialized reporting as needed.

The Successful Applicant

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline.

Minimum of two years of accounting experience, ideally within property management or a nonprofit environment.

Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and meet tight monthly deadlines.

Strong analytical thinking skills with clear and effective written and verbal communication abilities.
