Daily duties and responsibilities

· Sew safety restraints made of heavy-duty nylon to specifications for each customer on time, to industry standards, with proper tags

· Cut restraints to specified length before sewing product and place any hardware correctly, if necessary

· Physically sort and test slings for recertification

· Operation of a sling test bed (training provided)

· Work quickly, efficiently, and without error to ensure customer satisfaction to produce at least the required minimum of slings per day. Will provide appropriate training for applicant to do so

· Ensure that restraint pieces are grouped according to customer requirements and prepared for pickup

· Must have basic computer skills

· ALLOW TIME TO CLEAN UP: Ensure fabrication shop trash can is empty and fabrication shop is kept clean (daily)

· Make sure any straps and restraint pieces are in designated places and prepared for work or shipment the following morning

Qualifications

· High School diploma or GED preferred, but not required

· Strong, quick, agile hands

· Ability to stand and bend for long periods of time

· Detail orientation with strong organizational skills

· Safety consciousness

· Excellent attendance

· Self-motivation

Working conditions

· Full Time, Hourly (8am-5pm with 1-hr lunch and two 15-minute breaks)

· Overtime occasionally required

Physical requirements

· Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

· Able to ascend/descend stairs easily

· Must be able to operate test bed machinery throughout the shift
