In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside compassionate professionals, provide essential support, and help create a welcoming environment for our patients.The Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a medical provider. Assists Physician/ARNP or RN with direct patient care. Under direction and supervision by medical professional staff: administer injections, room patients, take vitals, record chief complaints, and assist with minor surgeries/procedures with a medical provider. All candidates who receive a written offer of employment will be required to undergo testing for commonly abused controlled substancesRequirementsMust possess a valid unrestricted WA State Medical Assistant Certification.BLS/CPR certification required upon hireHigh school diploma plus successful completion of a minimum of one academic year of post-secondary education in a medical assisting program from an accredited educational institution. Associates degree in medical assisting and/or certified medical assistant preferred.Desired Education, Experience & Skills:1-4 years of previous work experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred.Proficient in medical terminology and medical office procedures.Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn in-house programs, including EHR system.Demonstrated ability to work with a low-income, multi-ethnic patient population and relate respectfully and effectively to people of diverse racial, educational, and socio-economic backgrounds.Must be a confident, self-directed individual who can work within a team as well as independently.Must demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, utilizing concise and comprehensive documentation with strong technical writing and record-keeping skills.Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
