Accounting Assistant

Buckeye Rural Electric Cooperative is a non-profit electric utility which provides service to over 18,000 consumers in the growing community near Gallipolis, Ohio. Since its incorporation in 1938, under the Rural Electrification Administration Act, Buckeye REC has proudly provided electric utility service to the community it serves. Summary: Provides confidential administrative support to the CFO and accounting department. Serves as the accounts payable and payroll specialist, requiring proficiency in all office skills and accuracy. This is a full-time, job opportunity. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with occasional overtime. The wage is highly competitive, and weoffer a comprehensive benefit plan. Associate's degree in accounting or related field required. Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred. A minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in accounts payable, record keeping or similar function.
