Medical Director / Senior Medical Director - Neurology

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Medical Director or Senior Medical Director in Neurology to provide medical oversight of clinical trials, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage safety assessments. The role involves clinical trial support, adverse event review, and medical consultation across research and development activities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinical trials to ensure compliance with SOPs, good clinical practice, and regulatory requirements
• Review and manage adverse events and serious adverse events with medical judgment and analysis
• Attend investigator and sponsor meetings; provide medical consultation to clients and project teams
• Write or review clinical safety reports, regulatory documents, and pharmacovigilance reports
• Mentor medical monitors and other staff on protocol and therapeutic training

Requirements

• MD or equivalent degree required
• Clinical training in Neurology including residency and/or fellowship
• Approximately 2 years of patient treatment experience in Neurology
• For Senior level: 1-2 years clinical trial/CRO experience or 2 years safety/pharmacovigilance experience
• Strong knowledge of FDA, ICH, EMA, and GCP guidelines
• Working knowledge of safety databases such as MedDRA
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
