About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP, Claims Manager to lead the strategic and technical oversight of specialty program claims. This senior leadership role is pivotal in maintaining the integrity of the claims process, ensuring that all resolutions are in line with program guidelines, reinsurance terms, and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and auditing the claims handling performance of MGAs and TPAs, developing and enforcing claims governance frameworks, and partnering with various internal teams to analyze loss trends and make informed program renewal decisions. Additionally, the VP, Claims Manager will serve as the senior escalation point for complex and high-severity claims, monitor and report on claims KPIs, and represent the company at industry events. Applicants for the VP, Claims Manager position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 10 years in insurance and/or claims handling, particularly in commercial claims. A strong working knowledge of multi-state statutes, including good faith claim handling regulations, is essential. The role requires a candidate with strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office and major claims systems. The ideal candidate will also have experience in evaluating the claims capabilities of prospective MGA partners and staying current on E&S market trends, regulatory developments, and claims best practices.
