This is a hands-on role for someone who combines strong attention to detail with curiosity, critical thinking, and a commitment to doing things the right way.You'll support quality systems, investigations, regulatory activities, production, and laboratory operations to help ensure our products and processes continue to meet high internal and industry standards.About the RoleThis position goes beyond routine inspection. You'll help investigate quality issues, support internal audits, maintain key quality programs, work with laboratory testing and data, and collaborate with teams across the company.It's a strong fit for someone who enjoys solving problems, working with technical information, and helping turn findings into meaningful quality improvements.What You'll DoPerform internal audits alongside the Quality Manager, including regular inspections throughout production areasDocument audit findings and communicate quality concerns to leadershipHelp maintain the Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) and deviation programs, including tracking findings, investigations, follow-up, and closureInvestigate temperature and humidity readings, customer returns, product defects, and nonconforming materialsSupport quality activities for wholesale customers and Synergized ingredients, including questionnaires, regulatory documentation, and B2B quality supportMaintain Synergy's calibration program across departmentsHelp create and maintain finished-goods stability studies and investigate related dataCoordinate with internal and external laboratory personnelRegularly perform or assist with laboratory testing, including titrations, HPLC, FTIR, microscopic analysis, moisture, density, tablet hardness, and microbiologyPrepare and send samples to third-party laboratoriesSupport the development of new laboratory methods and equipmentParticipate in continuous quality improvement effortsThis Role May Be a Good Fit for You If You:Notice details and inconsistencies others may missLike figuring out why something happened and how to prevent it from happening againEnjoy a mix of desk work, laboratory work, and time on the production floorAre comfortable learning technical processes and working with dataCan organize and follow issues through to resolutionCommunicate clearly across different teamsUse sound judgment while following established proceduresTake ownership of your work and follow through on commitmentsWhat We're Looking ForRequired qualifications:High school diploma or GED equivalentMust be at least 18 years of ageMust be legally authorized to work in the United StatesMust be able to read, write, speak, listen, and comprehend English well enough to safely and effectively perform the roleMust be able to pass a background checkPreferred qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a scientific fieldExperience or familiarity with food production processes and systemsKnowledge of dietary supplement quality and regulatory requirements, including cGMP, HARPC, FSMA, Kosher, and Certified Organic guidelinesFamiliarity with calibrated inspection tools and equipmentThese are preferred, not required, qualifications. New hires are typically brought in toward the lower portion of the range, depending on experience, qualifications, and internal equity. Actual starting pay will be based on relevant skills, experience, and alignment with the role.Schedule and LocationThis is a full-time, onsite position based in Moab, Utah, working 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.The schedule may generally be structured as either:Four 10-hour workdays, orFive 8-hour workdaysBecause the role involves regular laboratory work, production-floor audits, investigations, and collaboration with other departments, employees in this position will work in person at our Moab facilities.Physical RequirementsThis role involves regular standing and walking throughout production, warehouse, and laboratory areas.
