Myrtle Beach Pelicans Fan Engagement PositionThe Myrtle Beach Pelicans are hiring a full-time position to assist in the fan engagement department. This position will play a vital role within the organization, working on different types of projects from conception through final execution. The successful candidate needs to be high-energy, self-motivated, and ready to work in a collaborative environment. This is an ideal position for a motivated professional looking to contribute to a high-performing team, engage with fans, and further a career in sports marketing. This person will report directly to the General Manager to aid in executing the overall marketing strategy for Pelicans Ballpark and the Myrtle Beach Pelicans. This position will assist with day-to-day marketing operations, content creation, strategic planning, execution, and more.ResponsibilitiesSupport brand awareness for all club-related assets and initiatives; this includes but is not limited to ballpark events and community outreach efforts.Lead the creation of marketing assets for various outlets including but not limited to: Digital channels - website, social accounts, email newsletter, video board, and moreRadio outletsTV outletsOutdoor billboardsPrint outletsIn-Venue collateralAssist in creating and executing marketing plans for single game tickets, merchandise, and more.Assist in creating and managing the overall marketing budget.Assist with the execution of all email marketing campaigns.Track and deliver metrics for earned media. This includes general brand related metrics as well as targeted metrics for sponsored and specific campaigns.Capture content to help maximize the exposure of team and league wide initiatives.Oversee and manage all content on team website.Project Manager for the design and execution of the game day program.Manage archiving and proper labeling of all gameday, event, and community photos.Assist in marketing and/or team communications such as press releases as necessary.Assist the Partnership Services Coordinator with activating sponsorship elements across all mediums including but not limited to print, outdoor, social media, and more.Collaborate with other departmentsProvide the following additional support as necessary: Assist with planning and execution of non-traditional revenue and non-game day events.Assist with planning and activation of community relations programs and events.Be a positive brand ambassador and represent the Pelicans and our partners in a professional manner at all times.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:A minimum of 2+ years in a marketing role for a sports team or related field.A strong interest in the sports industry.Ability to prioritize and handle simultaneous projects.Strong command of the written English language.Ability to speak publicly as need – including but not limited to media interviews.Strong understanding of emerging digital advertising trends.Ability to meet deadlines; a self-starter that can take initiative on new ideas and projects.Experience with media monitoring tools (specifically Meltwater) is preferred.Experience with social monitoring tools (specifically Sprout Social) is preferred but not required.Knowledge of social media platform practices, algorithms, and media sizes and specifications is preferred but not required.Knowledge of photography and editing is a plus.Ability to speak Spanish not required, but a plus.Requirements:Must possess superior organizational and time management skills.Must be able to function in a fast-paced, multi-task setting.Must be able to work with as others as well as independently.Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Collection, including but not limited to: Photoshop, Lightroom, and Illustrator.Must be highly collaborative in the ideation/development/execution process.Must be available to work all home games and ballpark events.Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.Candidates should be able to perform physically demanding aspects of the job.We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.
