Registered Nurse – Acute Care

Schedule: Shift: 7p-7a, Friday, Saturday, Sunday

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 36

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited RN program; BSN preferred.
• Current Registration and Licensure in the state as an RN in good standing with the Board of Nursing.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Heart Code BLS certification; new employees must certify within three months after hire date.
• Current ACLS certification; new employees should obtain per guidelines of the Education Course Requirements policy.
• Nursing experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide safe and optimal patient outcomes.
• Promote continuity of care through effective communication with the interdisciplinary team and family.
• Direct the work of support staff in the provision of care.
• Perform general nursing duties utilizing critical thinking skills with minimal supervision.
• Conduct assessments across age-specific populations including neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Demonstrate a high degree of empathetic listening skills and kindness toward others.
