Surgical Technologist

The Surgical Technologist (Scrub Tech) provides critical support during surgical procedures by preparing the operating room, sterilizing instruments, and assisting surgeons throughout the operation. This role requires expertise in endoscopy cases, adherence to sterile techniques, and collaboration with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and procedural efficiency. Certification, BLS, and current TB clearance are mandatory, with shared call responsibilities including evenings and weekends. Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments and equipment.
• Assist surgeons and surgical staff during procedures, including endoscopy cases.
• Maintain sterile field and ensure adherence to infection control protocols.
• Handle surgical instruments and supplies efficiently throughout the procedure.
• Participate in cleaning and restocking the operating room post-procedure.
• Respond to shared call duties during evenings and weekends as scheduled.

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current Tuberculosis (TB) clearance.
• Ability to perform endoscopy cases.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience preferred.

• Experience working in a hospital surgical environment.
• Familiarity with a wide range of surgical instruments and procedures.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Shared call schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Must be able to work holidays with exceptions noted.
• Compliance with hospital infection control and safety standards.

• 40 hours per week guaranteed, except during holiday weeks.
• Shift assignments include shared call coverage during evenings and weekends.
