Registered Nurse PACU

Ambulatory Outpatient Surgery Center NurseProvides safe, quality patient care in an ambulatory outpatient surgery center.To accomplish this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, each essential function satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to help enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Essential Functions:Evaluate, plan, implement, and document patient care, observations, medications, and medical history.Observe the patient according to appropriate physiological and developmental age.Administer medications following physician orders.Ability to initiate and coordinate pain management; ability to manage patient airway post-surgery.Serve as liaison between patient, family, and surgical team to coordinate all aspects of nursing care and teaching to achieve desired outcomes and ensure patient safety.Regular and predictable attendance.Ability to work cooperatively with others.Perform other duties as assigned.Skills & Abilities:Education: Graduate of an accredited post-secondary school of nursing required.Experience: 1 year of previous PACU or Critical Care (RF, ICU, or similar) experience required.Computer Skills: Must be computer literate.
